How to export ChatGPT to Word (.docx)
- Install ChatGPT to PDF from the Chrome Web Store or Firefox Add-ons.
- Open chatgpt.com and go to the conversation you want to export.
- Click the down arrow on the right of the Save as PDF/WORD/MD/GD button the extension adds to the page.
- Choose Word.
- Download the .docx file and open it in Microsoft Word, LibreOffice or any editor that reads Word documents.

How to export ChatGPT to Google Docs
In Chrome, click the down arrow on the right of the Save as PDF/WORD/MD/GD button and choose Google Docs. The first time, sign in with Google and allow access, and the conversation is created as a Google Doc in your Drive. The extension asks only for Google's drive.file permission, which covers the files it creates for you, not the rest of your Drive. Save exports straight to Google Drive
If you'd rather keep a file than a Google Doc, the extension can also save your PDF, Word or Markdown export directly to Google Drive. Private by design
To create your file, the conversation is sent to our servers over HTTPS. It is used only for the conversion and deleted as soon as your file is ready. We never store, log or review your conversations. Google Docs exports are saved to your own Google Drive.
